To all members:
This saturday(25 May) got training. Pls bring along training fees RM60 and competition fee RM35.Newbies pls bring your membership card with your photo in it and pass it to me.
This week’s training venue will be changed to NEW BLOCK ground floor due to stadium will be undergoing renovation.Pls inform your friends who don’t have Facebook.
Pls be noticed that there is a school competition in 6 July(compulsory to all members), the information are as below:
9th PCGHS CLOSED TAEKWONDO( WTF ) CHAMPIONSHIP 2019
Date: 06 July 2019
Time: 7.30a.m. — 6.00p.m.
Venue: school hall
Every member must join at least 2 events.
Example: Poomsae and Sparring
Sparring and Breaking
Poomsae and Breaking
There will be individual poomsae and team poomsae , but both are considered as only one event as they are both under poomsae . Same goes for individual sparring and team sparring.
INDIVIDUAL/ TEAM POOMSAE (3 persons in a group)
For white belts , you should know the basics:
White belt:
Walking stance
Back stance
Forward stance
High block
Forearm block
Knife hand neck strike
Back fist
Turning kick
Side kick
For Yellow belts and Green belts :
Taegeuk 1 and Taegeuk 3
For Blue belts, Red belts and Black belts :
Taegeuk 5 and Taegeuk 7
SPARRING/ TEAM SPARRING
Weight category :
A-Below 44kg
B-45-47kg
C-48-50kg
D-51-55kg
E-56kg and above
For those who join sparring, you are encouraged to buy your own guards as you will continue to use it if you are interested in sparring, of course there will be no forcing in buying the sparring guards, some of them can be borrowed from the school if you don’t mind.
The guards will include head gear, body vest , shin and forearm guard ( for hands and legs ) and inner groin guard.
For mouth guard , it is a must to have your own or else you would be disqualified.
For those who wants to buy sparring guards please pm me for further details .
BREAKING
For breaking that would 6-8 person in a group ( no matter what belt you are ) , each group have about 5 minutes to perform. Each plank cost rm5 , each group have to break 20 planks so each group has to pay RM100 for the planks. The cost can be divided among your group members equally.
