7th PCGHS CLOSED TAEKWONDO( WTF ) CHAMPIONSHIP 2017
We will hold a competition which is on/at :
Date: 22 July 2017
Time: 8.00 a.m. ~ 6.00 p.m.
Venue: PCGHS Stadium
Every member must join at least 2 events.
Example: Poomsae and Sparring
Sparring and Breaking
Poomsae and Breaking
There will be individual poomsae and team poomsae , but both are considered as only one event as they are both under poomsae . Same goes to individual sparring and team sparring . Team poomsae will be 3 in a group. Breaking will be 6-8 in a group.
- INDIVIDUAL/ TEAM POOMSAE
For white belts , you should know the following:
-Walking stance, back stance, forward stance
-high block, forearm block,
knife hand neck strike, back fist
*All the above should be in riding stance*
-Turning kick, side kick
For yellow belts :
Taegeuk 1 and Taegeuk 2
For green belts :
Taeguek 3 and Taeguek 4
For blue belts and above :
Taegeuk 5 and Taegeuk 6
- SPARRING/ TEAM SPARRING
Weight category :
A-Below 45kg
B-44-47kg
C-47-50kg
D-50-55kg
E-Above 55kg
For those who join sparring, you are encouraged to buy your own guards as you will continue to use it if you are interested in sparring, of course there will be no forcing in buying the sparring guards, some of them can be borrowed from the school if you don’t mind.
The guards will include head gear, body vest , shin and forearm guard ( for hands and legs ) and inner groin guard.
For mouth guard , it is a must to have your own or else you would be disqualified. You can buy your own at young ones or by informing me.
- BREAKING
For breaking that would 6-8 person in a group ( no matter what belt you are ) , each group have about 5 minutes to perform. Each group must pay RM 100 for the planks before 06July 2017. The cost can be divided among your group members equally.
