Today all the Taekwondo members gathered at stadium at 07.15 sharp. After the instructors arrived,we started warming up. Then,we learned our basic and pomsae. After that,we ended our training at 09.30am.

Venue: Youth Park Penang
Everyone gathered at Youth Park Field to mark attendance and members are distributed into a few groups. After that members had some games briefing and we started the games session. At 12:00pm members had lunch break. After the lunch break, prizes are given to the winners and souvenirs are given to instructors, teachers and committee members. We took a group photo and the outing ended around 1:30pm.
Members are guessing verb and phrase by body movements.
A member of a group are blindfolded and had to try to find the members of the other group by the help of her own group members
All group members had to tie a balloon on one of their legs, they had to protect their balloon and try to step on others balloon
After a Rock Paper Scissors match, the winner must splash water on the loser’s face but if the loser was able to cover her face with the plate she will be the winner of the game
Each group will split into pairs and carry their partners on their back and walk around the stony road
Members guess words or phrases by looking at soundless hints by group members
Prizes are given to winners
Souvenirs are given to instructors and teachers

We really appreciate the cooperation of every members and form4 members who prepared such an amazing outing for us. Interactions between members had made our members known each other better.

Today is finally the PCGHS closed championship that is held yearly.We are very glad because members in our school, members from Union High School and St.George’s Girls’ School took part in our competition.
Participants arrived in the school hall at 7:30am to mark their attendance. Then,the individual poomsae event and team poomsae event began at 8:00am.

Then, the next event was the individual sparring event.Everyone who joined this event were brave and tried their best to spar.
After that, it was the opening ceremony of our championship. Everyone gathered at the center of the hall and Master Roy gave a speech to us to give us some advices on Taekwondo.After we took a group photo, its time for lunch break.
At about 1pm,the individual sparring event continued followed by the team sparring event.

Then, it was the last event which is the breaking event which each group is required to break a total of 20 planks to show off their skills.

After all events ended, it was finally the time to give out the medals to all the winners.Congratulations to them!

This was a meaningful competition for members to learn and gain experience.Well done to everyone for trying their best no matter winning or losing. We are very happy to be able to hold this successful championship. We certainly hope to see improvements on the next year !

Members who went for grading gathered at Gan Association at 9:00am. At first, we started by doing some warm ups and stretches. After that,we were classified into groups according to our belt.During the test, we were called to do our own poomsae, kicks, sparring steps and breaking.White belts were the first one who took the test, followed by yellow, green, blue, red and black belts.

After everyone did their own test, they went back home.This was a great learning experience to all of the members that went for grading especially for the white belts, because this was the first time they were promoted to a higher grade.

Venue: Dewan Utama Desasiswa, USM
During these three days, a few members from our school Taekwondo club participated in this championship.There, we met players from other states such as Kedah, Perlis, Sarawak and so on. In the first day, the poomsae event and kyukpa event was held.

In day 2,the sparring event was held.At about 11 o’clock,the opening ceremony started. The VIPs gave a speech to us and a demonstration was performed by a few professional Taekwondo players. After the opening ceremony, the sparring event continued.

In day 3,the kyorugi event continued. This championship ended in the night after the medals presentation.
Congratulations to our school Taekwondo members who have won medals. This championship was a great opportunity for us to show off our talents and we hope that there will be more participants from our school next year.

21 April was our annual outing. Everyone gathered outside of the stadium to mark attendance. Then, Master Roy gave a speech to us so that we know more about Taekwondo. When everyone was ready, we started to play station games prepared by our form 4 seniors.

After we finished playing the station games, we had our lunch. Then, souvenirs were given to the instructors, committees and prizes were given to the winners of the station games.

The outing ended at around 1:30pm. During this activity, members have experienced to play different types of games and have also interacted with each other a lot.This was a fun and memorable day and we definitely hope to have more activities like this in the future!

Penang Invitation Taekwondo Championships
Date : 06 May 2017
Time : 8.00 a.m. ~ 5.45 p.m.
Venue : Dewan Utama Desasiswa, USM .
On the last Saturday, our school Taekwondo Club’s members had participated the Penang Invitation Taekwondo Championships. In this championships, we have learned and gained many experience there. There were also have many participants which came from other country like Kedah and Perlis. We also be acquainted with many new friends from other school, even those who were from other country.

Tan Jia Wen (S5B) got a silver medal from Sparring event (16&above age group)
Thin Lei (K3I) got a silver medal from Sparring event (15&below age group)
This championships had give a lot of benefits to us. At here, I hope I can get a chance to perticipate again next time.
